The Puerto Madryn Plant is located within the Fishing Industrial Park of the city, on premises of 70,000 m2, with a covered surface of ca. 12,000 m2. It is really a logistic and industrial complex, organized in different departments, including the administrative and the industrial production sectors of the company. The freezing capacity of the refrigerating plant is of 30 tons per day. It is equipped with two gyrofreezers one air blast and five plate freezers.

It produces the lines of frozen products from raw material caught by the fleet and purchases from third parties. It has a Cryovac line too, that shall be completed during 2005 with other special lines.

This plant also produces the "La Caleta" canning; it has a fishing net workshop, refrigerating chambers, a laboratory and all the necessary equipment in order to obtain first quality guaranteed products. It offers dressing rooms, a kitchen and dining rooms to all of the personnel. The Quality Control Department provides services to the fleet, as well as to the industrial plant. It includes a control laboratory, a microbiology laboratory and a laboratory for inspectors who check the goods before its shipment.




In our plant, quality control is performed during the whole of the production process, from the moment when the product is caught in high sea up to the audit of the final product. Quality control staff also performs its duties on board of our ships.
Additionally, there are ice and fish meal factories, and an effluent treatment plant in order to ensure the non pollution of the environment.
